Like Eve and Pandora, Gullveig is among female figures often held accountable for the advent of evil, or the perpetuation of “evil” serving as archetypal scapegoats. Through Daughters of Shadow, my next book project, I intend to probe deeper into the symbolism and significance of these powerful beings, commencing with an in-depth examination of Gullveig.
